Happy Easter

Hello everyone! This week has been different...a dusting of snow on the ground in the mornings and usually gone by noon with flurries throughout the day. This went on for a few days (I love snow).
I know some of you follow sports...like Basketball...I am happy to say our Team U of  L (University of Louisville) is still in the game...Go Cards!  Funny dh doesn't follow Sports...I do.

On to other stuff.....I wanted to use a cute Stamp set recently purchased from Archiver's by Inky Antic's that is part of Honey Pop collection. It has two of the cutest little Duckies, Eggs and Sentiments. I decided to make an Easter card and use Honey Pop Paper. Here is what I came up with.

Happy Easter
I stamped the Duck and Eggs, then (pain stakingly)
cut them out. I cut the Duck twice with Yellow
then Orange cardstock then put together.
The Chevron paper is a pack I picked up at
Michaels...love it!  The Banner is
Spellbinders with hand written Sentiment.
The white base card was cut from 8.5 x ll.5 cardstock
with a new cutter that has six different blades for
different edges. I used a Scalloped.

 .
This is inside of card (above & below)
The Pink and Yellow Eggs are made from
Honey Pop paper. I used scraps for
an obscured look with the Sentiment
"Hope your day is egg-ceptional!"
It's a bit hard to see in pic.

What would this card be without an
"Action Wobble"
The little Duckie is on a Wobble carrying
the Egg. The Banner was trimmed
with heat embossing powder.

Happy Spring!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and wonder if you're ready for Spring. I know most of you are...I cringe when I say this...I would love a little more Snow...enough said...on to my quick card. I wanted to get in on some Challenges before they end.

Here is what I made with one of the cutest Stamp sets I picked up at Archiver's (I love that place). It's an Inky Antics Clear Stamp Set that is part of a Honey Pop collection. What is Honey Pop you ask?  Honey Pop is used with the Honey comb paper to make a 3-D effect. Check out www.Archivers.com or www.inkyantics.com for more info and tons of fun. You can sign up to receive Archiver's email for coupons and great values for amazing products (toys) that you won't find anywhere else. I had planned on using the Honey Pop design on this card but forgot and turned the card the wrong way...will make sure to show you in next couple of days and give better details.

Lime Green Stickles was used to polish
Duck's web (on left). Star Dust Stickles
on Cloud.
Sentiments came with Stamps.
Wobble In Action
When cutting out Duck I snipped into
the wing to make it stand out.

A littpe peek at the Wobble and dimension.

Die Cut Images: Positive and Negative

Hello everyone! I hope all is well. I've been working on a few projects lately, however, when I think there going to be ok...I chuck them. Have you ever done that?  I've seen many different techniques used with Die cuts and thought I would try something a little different (for me anyway).

I took a piece of Blue Shimmer DCWV cardstock and used Hero Art Die cuts (these are from Archiver's) that come with matching Stamps, which I'm in love with. A Cloud and Balloon were used on this card. They can be stamped then cut or cut then stamped, which ever way is best for you.

"Happy Birthday" Balloons on the loose
Top of card is the negative of Cloud Die cut
A white Shimmer cardstock from same DCWV
pack is used for base card that makes the
Cloud. I added Star Dust Stickles to
give them a little sparkle, it also poufs the
paper while wet and makes for a
Fluffy looking Cloud.....
The Balloons in background are also the
negative backed by cardstock from the
The Paper Studio. A Black thin line
marker was used to make the Balloon
strings.
The positive Balloons are stamped and
adhered to you guessed it an Action Wobble...
Imagine that...I use them as often as I
can as long as I feel it fits the image.  The
Happy Birthday is a Martha Stewart
 Punch, ends were freehand cut
as a Banner with stick on metal dots.

 Action Wobble.

Before all put together.

This technique was not difficult at all. Careful placement and voila !

A Fun Challenge - "All that Stickles"
I found a new (to me) Blog Challenge called "All that Stickles" which has a new Challenge every week with prize goodies to be had (see "All that Stickles" Challenge rules at Link below). Please check it out as time permits. This will be my second entry.

It's "Time" for another Valentine's Day Card

Hello everyone! I'm really having a great time visiting your Blogs and finding so much inspiration that it's making my head spin...lol. Hope your week is off to a great start. I have a couple of Valentine's projects I want to show...so here we go.

"Time" for a Valentine's Day Card

Cricut Cart Home Accent for the Clock
cardstock Core'dinations white with tan
embossed with Clock folder from
The Paper Studio, lightly sanded. Card base is Kraft cardstock.
The red middle section of the clock and Heart
shape (to right of Clock) die cut from
Spellbinders "Ribbon Buckles." I thought
the images would make it look like gear mechanisms.
Stick on nail heads were placed sporadically.

The Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper
"Flowers and Friendships" then heat embossed.
The red bits on Sentiment are leftover from the
die cut images.

Valentine Popcorn Treat Box

I found these little Popcorn boxes at the local Supermarket and thought they would be cute to embellish for the "White Chocolate Popcorn" I make (usually at Christmas time) but I thought why not for Valentine's Day too. I simply used Spellbinders Die cuts in two different sizes and the Ribbon Buckles Die cut to thread the Ribbon through...super simple.

I have to say the White Chocolate Popcorn is
so good...I know it sounds corny (pun intended)
but if you ever get a chance to make it and you
are like me and eat a ton of it while fixing it,
you will have to make extra for the
people you are giving it to....lol...I always do.
When I go to Christmas parties, this Popcorn is
usually the first thing I am asked for. I do not
like to cook or bake...but this is crazy easy.
(If interested the recipe is under Crafting Tutorial tab at top of page)

Below is the box undecorated...so plain.
The Popcorn is put into little clear bags.

Happy Valentine's Day "Puppy Love"

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.  Since Valentine's Day is around the corner and everyone is in the spirit of making Valentine's cards...I thought I would join in the fun. I made a few cards and working on more for some of the Challenges with the Valentine's Day theme and others.

The theme for  Wobble Wednesday Challenge #41 has gone to the dogs...lol...really it's to use a Dog image and of course an Action Wobble. That was my inspiration for this card. It does not have to be a Valentine's card for the challenge.

"Puppy Love"
 Card base from Recollections
Banners die and stamp from Hero Arts
from Archivers
Other images are cut from Cricut cart
Four Legged Friends
Red stickles outlined on the Hearts
3 Girl Jam Crinkle Ribbon - Red
Crystals-Recollections

The top layer of the "Puppy Love" Tag
was left separated and tied with ribbon to add a
Sentiment...a picture would be a nice surprise.

Last but not least the Action Wobble.
By now you know where it is....
the Puppy is Wobbling with excitement.

DL Art Thankful Thursday Challenge

Hello everyone! A quick post to enter Diana's DL Art Thankful Thursday Challenge #102 Use Red or Pink...ends February 5th. Diana always has great things going on over at her Blog along with lots of Challenges and great giveaways. You can visit her Blog at the link above.

"Be Mine Valentine" simple card. The Base is from a pack of  Recollection cards,
embossed with Hearts folder from The Paper Studio. Sizzix Die cuts were popped
dotted, bottom layer is Core'dinations cardstock, lightly sanded except for edges.
The top layer is a Glossy cardstock stamped with Fired Brick(red)
Distressing ink from Tim Holtz then heat embossed with Sparkle powder.

The Banner was hand cut from from Core'dinations cardstock then lightly sanded.
Letter Brads "Valentine" were placed on the Banner. The Brads reminded me
of Typewriter Keys...ancient I know...lol. It's a little tough to see
the Glossy cardstock....

Thanks for stopping by!

Let it Snow {Hugs}

Hello everyone! I'm excited to have another Card to share. Before the Holidays I bought several new Stamps but did not get a chance to use many of them. The one I am using on this card is called "Jumbo Snowfall Pair" by Stampendous. I'm not big on coloring stamps, but like using other techniques as you will see on the card below.

The Snowfall Pair was stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with a
glittered embossing powder. For the hats and scarves I used blue Stickles for the boy and
pink Stickles for the girl, then used a little Aileene's Snow glitter that puffs up a bit when dry.
For the face's, a Rub-on was used (I really wanted to use Peachy Keen face
stamps, but the glitter was a hindrance).  Of course I had to use an Action Wobble
(any time I can, I will...lol) under the Snowflake. The Snow people stand under
a Snowflake for {HUGS} where people use Mistletoe for kisses...lol.

For the Card base I used Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch around the page and chose a blue
shimmer cardstock for the actual card base, then added white shimmer cardstock on the
inside to be shown through the Snowflakes...then added small Silver metal dot stick ons.

Inside the card was stamped and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.
{Hugs} was stamped with My Pink Stamper stamps and heat embossed.

Action Wobble in action.

I don't know about the Weather where you live, but it's crazy here...in the teens one week...then 50's, now about 67 degrees by Wednesday...yes it's as crazy as I make it sound...lol. I want snow...just a little to make it pretty...NO ice though. Take care everyone!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
